Breeding Regulations
Evaluation of the Breeding Stock ~ Article
9
The subject matter of the evaluation are
the features defined in the breeding program. The evaluation
is carried out at public events (stallion shows, mare shows,
competitions and the like) to enable comparison of a sufficiently
large number of horses of the same breed. In justified exceptional
cases, an evaluation can also be carried out outside of public
events.
The evaluation is expressed in full grades:
10 = excellent
9 = very good
8 = good
7 = rather good
6 = satisfactory
5 = sufficient
4 = deficient
3 = rather unsatisfactory
2 = unsatisfactory
1 = extremely unsatisfactory
0 = not evaluated
The result of the evaluation is expressed
as a total grade which is the arithmetic average of the individual
partial grades and is calculated to one decimal place. An
indication in total grades is permissible. The partial grades
may be weighted.
Responsible for the evaluation are commissions appointed by
the respective breeding association which are to include the
stock supervisor or his or her commissioner as well as at
least one other expert.
