Stable Book ~ Article 17
Each breeder / each stud keeps a stable
book for the breeding horses of its stock, in which all important
documents relating to the horse concerned as well as the excerpts
from the studbook including all registrations, all coverage
and birth certificates as well as the accounts on performance
tests passed are collected in a clearly arranged way.
The stable book has to conform to the
account of descent (pedigree) and the studbook with respect
to its specifications. Each member is obliged to present the
stable book to stock supervisor or his or her commissioner
for supervision.
The breeder is responsible for the correctness
of the specifications in the covering acknowledgements, the
notice of birth, the stable book as well as in all other documents
he is to fill in, submit or keep. He also is to observe the
correctness of all the specifications in the studbook documents
and forms including the accounts of descent and horse ID's
send to him upon entries by the association. The association
is to be informed of mistakes to be corrected without delay.
A correction by the breeder himself is not permissible. The
office of the association is to include a corresponding note
in case of corrections.
