Breeding Regulations

Minimum Specification in the Studbook ~ Article 14

The studbook is to contain at least the following specifications for each horse entered:

  1. Name and address of the breeder and the owner.
  2. Date of coverage and place of coverage of the mother, type of coverage.
  3. Date of birth, sex, color and markings .
  4. Registration number.
  5. Active marking (e.g. brand and/or microchip).
  6. Parents including color and registration number.
  7. Four generations of ancestors (if known).
  8. Date of the issuance of the account of descent.
  9. Judgment of the exterior.
  10. Results of the performance test.
  11. Successes at shows and awards, as far as these are relevant for the breeding program.
  12. The descent:
    entered sons and daughters (including their registration numbers) for stallions, all of the descent (including the registration numbers) for mares.
  13. All the results of determination of the breeding value.
  14. Decisions on entries and changes in the studbook.
  15. Decisions on the insemination permission.
  16. Date and (if known) reason of miscarriage.
  17. Blood type for stallions.
  18. Indication of twin births.
  19. Issuance of breeding corticated.
  20. Place and date of the entry.
