Breeding Regulations

Purpose and Area of Application of the SBR ~ Article 1

  1. The Canadian Oberlander Horse Association will be a governmentally acknowledged breeding association in accordance with Animal Protection Act of Animal Breeding. The SBR regulate the due implementation of stock breeding of the horse breed maintained by the Canadian Oberlander Horse Association within the scope and according to the provisions of the regulations of the Law of Animal Breeding and the statutes of the Canadian Oberlander Horse Association.

    The SBR are part of the statutes of the Canadian Oberlander Horse association´s constitution. The contents of the present SBR are based on the regulations on animal breeding and the protection of animals and the regulations of the breeding association.

  2. The area of application of the SBR (the breeding area) extends to the regions for which the Canadian Oberlander Horse Association is taking responsibility, Canada and USA.

  3. The scope of application of the SBR (the breeding population) extends to the horse breed maintained by the Canadian Oberlander Horse Association, i.e. the Oberlander horse.

  4. All members of the Canadian Oberlander Horse Association are subject to the breeding program as well as to the other regulations of the SBR and the resolutions issued within its scope.

    All persons taking advantage of the services of the Canadian Oberlander Horse Association or its associated regional associations are obliged to apply for membership. In exceptional cases a breeding association has the right to take actions against persons who are not members.

  5. All disputes arising from and within the scope of the SBR are decided under exclusion of the governmental jurisdiction in accordance with the provisions of the statutes and the arbitration regulations of the Canadian Oberlander Horse Association by an arbitral tribunal constantly established there.
